Warning: This way lie dragons

Below are my random musings and insights, I make no warrenty to their fitness for any audiance nor to the correct spelling and such. I could spend twice as long writing it well (I did get a 4.0) or get out twice as much.

It's a personal journal, publicly displayed, as if written to my puppy, don't like it, don't read it, it's that easy.

But for those who venture in with a very open mind may gleam a nugget of truth or two. Remember it's posted backwards, newest first.

Feedback/Comments are very welcome!

Logic As An App?

Question: Is it possible to have a Vulcan, purely logical, society, or even exist?
Posit: Could it be that it's all really emotion, and logic is just an app we run on top of it, to suppress the emotion.
A society could not survive if it were completely logical.
Animals are slightly logical over all emotion, simple reaction to stimulation, teaching tricks is the basic logic they gain.
Existence is emotion, logic is intelligence, the spark of your soul is the self-awareness, and logic grows from there .
Emotion, responses to stimulation, is the OS, more the firmware: logic, reasoning the responses to processed stimuli, is the programs that make it do anything useful.
Color is illogical, so are relations.
Inflection in your voice is illogical, as is any discoveries or debugging, any jump of logic is emotionally based, that spark of creativity is emotional. So you could never repair the food machines.
Suspicion and fear and hate and reacting in any non-logical manner, is emotion, by definition, logic is developed.
That's why altering you brain chem levels, or being less mentally developed, allows you feel more because you can't reason out of it.
So you could never be pure emotion, you may bury it under logic so deep, suppress and ignore it, but never exist without it
"Equilibrium" is not possible, even pain is not logical, it's impossible to imagine with logic how it would work, you have to have emotion for the spark of innovation to do anything, where do goods and food even come from?
Smells are not logical, hence why humans don't like scenting, and why smells can cause such emotion, like music, aromatherapy is such a low level link to your feelings. When you smell something, or hear music, it reminds you how you FEEL about it, not the logic that goes with it! {though it does filter up}
That's why you get the munchies when high, and enjoy music so much more, as well as more carnal pleasures, logic is suppressed, allowing you to behave less logically, so you'll eat more because you don't have the logical conscience telling you not to, so if it feels good, you keep doing it. That’s why doing “wrong” feels good, it’s an emotional high, otherwise you get intellectual pleasure {same feel good chems} from doing what’s logical/right.
So a cartoon that makes you suspend disbelief is emotional, this movie and the likes of "Batman Begins" where it's plausible, everything is logical and conceivably explained, it's logical.
So watching the movie was great, I caused me to challenge the ideas it presented, and low, a new revelation was born unto me ;) Highly recommend.
(and yes, I may have phrased my Question/Posit wrong, but I'll get to the scientific method soon enough I hope)

Also my "extra-ordinary" "genius-type" abilities may be due to my innate ability to think beyond my disciplines, to know things I haven't learned nor even thought about per se.
{Update: Dam I sound prideful, but I hope you know what I mean. Check out the book Structures of Scientific Revolutions, it's a heavy, post grad read, I had to look up words, but echos this construct...and I hadn't read it when I wrote this 3 years ago}

And another thing, The Tooth Fairy is a great film at exposing the emotional side, for myself, I feel like I was between the kid and star. Dream damaged and for the kid, I was emotionally vulnerable as a kid, I'd cry at the drop of a hat, I seemed retarded, I was sent to the school counselor, they wanted to medicate me. I would flame into rage anger, seeing red, tunnel vision type. As I learned to "control" my emotions by learning logic I lost most feelings, not just the excessive ones.

{I once bit an older gentleman at church cuz I was getting a long drink of water at the fountain and he wanted me to move...always been an Alpha I guess :p }

And this may be worth looking into
